Interior door handles

Anyone else got a problem with the interior door handle trims getting dinged by jewellery? Both my wife and I wear rings and despite being careful the plastic silver handle rails are getting marked and pitted
I’ve tried spraying them back in silver but same issue. As I’ve got the black edition I’m seriously debating spraying them black

I could stand it no more and sprayed/lacquered in black
I think aesthetically it fits better with the black roof rails (as opposed to the standard silver) on this one
