Just seen a 1.6 GT 200 MK2 FL 2014 model and it sounded a bit throaty. Expecting to see it needed a replacement exhaust or a corroded system,.... Looking underneath I noticed it didnt have any form of rear box. Is this standard on the 200s??? My 156 has a rear silencer box immediately in front of the twin outlet pipes. This 200 has a straight pipe and a lot of room .... The exhaust all looked in good condition, no obvious leaks

It sounds like (literally I think) a previous owner has removed the back box, presumably in an attempt to give it a sportier sound.

My GT200 has definitely got a back box.

Sure it's not the Cat that's missing? 😮🤣
No, the exhaust is intact front to back... unless the Cat lives right at the back of the car in front of the twin outlets and its been replaced with pipework .... There is no silencer box next to where the wheel well is which is what I expect. Its a straight through pipe ... I am going to see it again so will try and take some pictures this time.
