How easy to cut rear bumper for rhs exhaust????????

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to cut the right hand side of the rear bumper so I can fit a twin exhaust?

Is there a template or is it done By eye?

If I can't do it myself I will get a bodyshop to do it but I want the confidence that they won't muck it up.

From what I have read, most exhausts are supplied with a template and it appears to be quite an easy job. However, for even better results, there are custom rear diffusers that again seem quite a simple unscrew, fit, re-screw job, which will of course look far better than the original, no matter how carefully you have cut into it.

However, there are many forum members that have already done this to their Z's so I am sure you will get a more comprehensive reply than mine.

As above. Or you could make your own template. Trace the left one, cut it out and you can flip it over to cut out the right.

There is a template that came with the Zunsport exhaust. I'm not sure exactly which exhaust you're going for however.

It's the original twin pipe that is modified to fit the rhs so will only be a dummy exhaust but still needs bumper cut.

Do you know anyone on the site that may have a template lying around? Once used I would post it back.

You can make a template yourself.

When you remove the diffuser make a pattern of the left hand side and flip it over to give an identical pattern for the right hand side.

The only thing that will be missing is the plastic trip just above the exhaust tips as it's left handed only.

Might be worthwhile blanking the back of the dummy tips off and painting it black so if anyone looks down doesn't see that's it's a dummy.

Just take a template of the left side and just spin it round for the other side
