Did you choose for the black to be glossy?

I'll need to get a refurbishment after the winter. I do like the diamond cut two colour finish, but it never lasts.

Personal choice.

It took me a while to click, but your centre caps aren't black.

A place local to me posted up some pictures of wheels powder coated in black gold. I would like to see R wheels on a R to judge.

Nice, I’ve looked into this too, shops here ask 200 euro for a full powdercoat/diamondcut treatment. What does it cost over there?

It depends on the size of the wheel. For 19 inch wheels around about £100 per wheel

Wow, that’s much cheaper than we pay over here. I have 4 R alloys extra and was wondering whether to sell them or keep them to refurbish at later stage...

Wow that’s a bit expensive, here in Brum I pay £50 per wheel for powder coating, and upto £100 per wheel for a diamond cut alloy finish, I have also found somewhere where they will just re-cut the diamond cut edge which is useful if you are on a budget

Powder coating is cheaper than cutting indeed. I’ve seen that automatic wheel CNC machines are being developed. Maybe that will lower the price.

There is a place in Birmingham that charges £30 if you supply the wheel without a tyre. £40 if you want tyre fitting and balancing. It wasn't so long ago they were only £20!

For 19" wheels around here it's about £100 for powdercoat and £120 for diamond cut.

When you see the cost some places can do wheels, and what some of these wheel refurbishers charge car garages, £400-480 is excessive.

A number of places are now doing a "diamond cut replication" finish. This gives the look of a diamond cut wheel(maybe not as shiny)but should last like a powdercoat finish.

Yes that’s the place, I usually do the drive in same day service for £50 a wheel, will be having the wheels on the R refurbished when the weather gets better, i too will have the diamond cut finish but in gloss black as I think the Matt black oe finish isn’t great.

I don't think black gloss looks right. I prefer the matt finish.

I think a nice silver always works. They suit all colour of car.

I see some of the finishes that places do and they look very good. They are sensitive to the colour of the car if they suit.

This is black gold. I really like the colour, but I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to have my wheels done.

Those would look great with that brown colour on the RCZ. Any darker colour really.
