Hiya all, This side of santa coming I need to move on my white type R.
Registered in Sept 2015, one of the last made and has 38000 on the clock.
Everything working drives fab and in the condition you would expect for a low mileage example.
Anyone interested?

39k, I have had her for 4 years, 1 service stamp missing, it's one of the best around, showroom bodywork and wheels. Looking at many 2014 models going for 18k, I will want at least that figure. Its one of the last made and one of the best in the best colour. I am biased but she stands fab. No faults everything works.

If you are not in a hurry I'd say wait until the weather is nicer to sell it.

It's been a pretty tough market for private sellers.

Rs are not shifting quickly at the moment. There was one listed privately for £15k at 31k miles and very very well looked after, no advisories, recent front discs replacement and calipers refurbished and it didn't shift and the owner ended up selling to trades. It is not listed significantly higher but not gone yet.

Also, there was a red one, much higher mileage at 61k but still looked to be very well looked after and many parts (most of the known issues) have been replaced. However, that one needed new front discs and calipers may need refurbishing as well. That was listed for £9,999 for 2 weeks before finally gone. Potentially, this one gone to trades as well.

Currently, there is one at 38k miles for sale for £12,750. It needs some work but nothing major. Normally, would have expected this to have gone by now. If this car was a lot closer to me I'd definitely have a look.

Hiya, thanks for your comments and will take them on board. Bottom line is that any car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay. I look at what's for sale and dont see many 65 plates at all. Am not going to give it away and to be honest, I can't see many that will stand as well as mine does, I guess that if the right person wants the right car at the time of selling, it will go, otherwise I will keep it.

Some dealers are getting good prices, but private sellers aren't. It has never been easy to sell an R privately. Don't use dealer adverts as a guide to private sale values.

If you want top price the car needs to be special. Your mileage isn't as low as other cars coming up. Mid range tyres will put off people. The glossy roof rails and wheels move away from originality that buyers will want. A missed service and advisories for front discs and all pads are all going to count against you.

I'd love for 65 plate Rs to be worth £18,000 in a private sale. The harsh truth is they aren't unless they are really exceptional. Very low miles, mint condition and original.

Absolutely, just like anything for sale really, it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

Late last year or Jan this year someone managed to sell their 2015 very low mileage R for almost £23k. It was an exceptional example in white. Some people said it was crazy asking price but there was someone willing to pay it.

Good luck for your sale.

It was advertised at £22,000 was it not? I wonder if they got full asking price.

That car had very low mileage and looked straight out of the factory. That would have been bought and never used again. That was a collector's purchase.

The highest I've seen is £27,000 for a car with 2000 miles. It was a dealer, but

Cars with 40,000 miles are coming up on a regular basis. Still the same thing with most cars getting moved on when the brakes need done.

I bought an R private in October, we already had a GT HDI so I thought I knew these cars, the car came with full Peugeot history, and extended Peugeot warranty, no MOT failure on the list, just one advisory for a tyre 2 years ago, all servicing and MOTs done by Robin and day.

I paid £16000 with 36k, I thought I had gone through the car thoroughly but I should have jacked up properly and inspected, it's been a nightmare since I inspected when I got back, missing damaged undertray under starter, damaged front arch liner, siezed undertray fixings, siezed inner front callipers not making contact with disc.

MOT was done in August this year so obviously a lot has happened since then, I stupidly trusted the seller, it's very risky buying private and I should have got an AA inspection, I am currently in the process of mending the car and the cost is absolutely frightening, it was probably only worth 11k private to be frank in that condition.

Mine too is one of the last to be registered sept 15.

Think you are right, it was more like £22k. It's just the impression I got is he got the asking price.

Sorry to hear about your issues. You bought the red one then? If it's got Peugeot extended warranty, it should have been transferred to you and would have thought they would sort out your sticking calipers issue at least.
