Hi, Opal white is the bright white colour (see below). Pearl white is a sort of off-white kinda thing. 👍

Brilliant Thankyou. I don't want old english white ...Ha. Your car looks the business !

The car I fancy is a 2015 1.6 THP Gt. Petrol, manual. £0k on the clock. Do you have any advice for me. before I go to see it.
are parts etc still easy to get. Are they reliable ?

Cheers

Thanks! Once you see it you'll fall in love and when you drive it you'll be hooked but there are loads around so don't necessarily buy the first one you see if it doesn't feel right.

There's lots of post already on here detailing what to look for when buying one so just take some time and read through the forum a bit so you're well armed when you go see it.

They're as reliable as any modern car so don't be put off if you read a lot of posts from people with problems as it's only normal to ask for help when these arise. Many, many owners have no issues at all though or only very minor ones so that doesn't get posted.

Thanks for that. Will do have a good rummage through the forum. I have already driven a 2 litre Diesel and as you so rightly say Fell in love with the beauty of it. I found it had lots of torque in third but a serious lack of umph in 1st and 2nd. I hope the petrol one is better.
Thanks to for the good advice about not buying the first I see. I'm seriously itching to part with my dosh for the one I have mentioned and if it has gun metal wheels I would sell my mother for iT !!! Only kidding.

Mines petrol and it will leave most cars in its wake from a standing start... at the traffic lights for example... 😎

I found a car 2014 1.6 - 31000mls. Its miles away in Scotland but sounds good. At 8 grand.
The dealer describes the colour as "Pearl". When I called him he said it was Pearlescent didn't know if it was pearl white of Opel (which I would prefer.

Did they do a Pearlescent white ?

I like the wheels they are the older style which he calls "Technical - Helphis LightGrey" I prefer these to the updated diamond cut style.
Can you please tell me when the diamond cut was first introduced. Could I still get a 2015 model with "Technical wheels.

Huge thanks. I really want an RCZ !!!!

Not sure on the pearlescent white, but the technical wheels were an option I believe, so could be found even on Mk II’S.

You'll see all sorts of reliability issues on these forums no matter what the make or model
Don't let that put you off , these cars at seriously underpriced against similar cars
I've had 3 and very few problems having covered over 85k miles in them.

Pearlescent is the same as pearl white.

Opal white is whiter but pearl white looks cooler in the evening
