Also on 308, 3008, etc.

The LCD display started to flicker, blur and go blank, every time I activated it.

Phoned my ace Pug mechanic on the Gold Coast (Wayne Botha - 0413 942 026). He advised I needed a new cable from radio to display. However, he had fixed a few by removing the display and then cutting of a small clip-tie that secures the cable to the rotating arm.

I fiddled with the cable in situ and the problem showed. After removing the clip-tie and letting the cable go more free from the display, I refitted the display and took the RCZ for a spin.Result - FIXED!

Transferred $25 to Wayne's account for phone support.I was looking at a second hand unit like this, but no need now. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GENUINE-...Z/143528818353.

Mine been playing up since I got the car back in Dec. Was planning to see if I can replace the cable myself by using a cat5 cable as per some of the posts in here but have not got around to doing it. Will give this one a go first,, thanks for sharing.

Nice to help. While the eBay unit is still up, check out the place where you snip the cable-tie.
I have circled it with red.

I did the same in fact I took the cable tie and the plastic clip off but eventually one of the thin wires in the grey cable loom broke. I took the cat 5 grey loom cable off the sat nav screen and broke into to it to find a brown wire snapped. So I added a three inch peice of wire and connected it the broken ends of the brown wire. Now its all fine and sorted no further problems.

Hi guys, I have the same issue. How do you get the screen out of the dash to work on it? Cheers Gara.
