Winter protection

So...Autumn is here and winter rapidly approaches. What are you using to protect your car over winter? Sealant or wax?

I'm thinking that I'm just going to stick with my Werkstatt Acrylic kit. I tried Definitive Wax's Durus and didn't really get along with it. The beading is immense and it lasts for ages but I found that it seemed to trap dirt and was a bit of a pig to clean with it on. In the end I stripped the whole thing off. It's that or Bouncer's Vanilla Ice for me I think. I have a few sample pots of it that I haven't got round to trying yet.

Having only just bought my Z we had it Diamond Bright treated prior to collection. I don't think your supposed to put anything else on it after it's been treated. I haven't even washed it yet, but we had a small rain shower the other night & beading was very obvious.
I am going to look into what I can and can't do, but I don't want to compromise the DB as it was very expensive, and has a lifetime guarantee.

If anyone else has had this treatment, especially if it was a while ago it would be nice to find out how there's is doing.

I'd personally go for Werkstat. Think how quick it is to use. I bet you'll get the opportunity to top it up over the winter months if you need to, 'cos it's so quick. Not like you've to set aside a whole day like you might need to waxing - plus waxes can be a pig to cure when it's cooler and you'll never buff it off right. But then on white, you're not so likely to see the marring.......

I've got Dodo's Supernatural Iroko carnuba wax stuffy on the MINI just now. Will probably slap on another layer in the next couple of weeks to see it through the winter. Need to seal my new winter wheels too before I get the tyres put on.

Already done a layer of gtechniq C1 my personal favourite and 2 layers of swissvax crystal rock on top. SV really so easy to use quick blast of cleaner fluid then wax on top do 2 panels then remove so nice to put on and remove and looks fab on white. But given the price it'd need to ;)
Look reflections in white and it's not even sunny any excuse for a photo :)

My bank balance won't stretch to any Swisswax goodies that's for sure!! Bet it looks awesome though. Be interested in how it wears.
