Will Air Filter enhance sound from the sound membrane ?

I understand the sound membrane works by being proportional to engine rev and air flow.

Hence if i install an aftermarket air filter which increases the air flow, technically the sound from the membrane should be enhanced right ?

Anyone has noticed this after upgrading the air filter ?

I understand that it operates on the boost side of the induction system, so your air filter is not really going to have a effect on the noise made.

The benefit from using an aftermarket airfilter will be a noise, which can be heard outside of the car, plus a small increase in BHP.

There's nothing around at the moment, but I'm sure someone will put something together shortly.

have a look at car builder solutions..

high quality stuff for custom / kit / track cars. I used them when building the TFR and that filter was higher quality than "branded" items costing over £250

I have also installed the K&N filter and the car feels smoother at high revs ! sound wise i do not hear much of a difference. that being said, for <$100 it definitely is a worthwhile mod !
