Whistling sound

I have recently bought my first 60 plate diesel Rcz had it about three weeks but when driven it makes a whistling sound and can get louder when braking although does seem quieter once its warmed up its got a two year warranty but just wondering if anyone has any ideas what it may be? :thumbup:

I know a Turbo can whistle a bit, my diesel van does it from new.

Because you mention it gets worse when you brake, could it be a stone or similar stuck in a brake pad or the handbrake adjusted to tight so it rubs even when off? Does the sound come from the engine bay or wheels? Does it get worse or better if you slightly pull the handbrake up? Slightly apply brakes or worse on heavy braking?

When I first start mine up it whistles for a bit till its warmed up a little, I think its the turbo getting lubricated and choke system enabled.
It only lasts for about 2-3 mins thou
