Hi all,

Bored at work!

I was wondering what other passions/hobbies are favourite amongst the members here?

I love to take pictures! So I tend to take pictures of my hobbies/things I love.

Aeroplanes, Watches, and my cat! I do the odd portrait for friends, and some landscapes too, but I find that is the most challanging.

Here are a few random shots for you to peek at.

I like your "Home" photo a lot

I too am into photography. My favourite is Landscape photography. Yes it is challenging because first and foremost, nature doesn't always play ball. Too much cloud, not enough light, not enough of the right sort of light, etc, etc but its thoroughly rewarding. I don't take photographs of people (out of choice - been asked but not keen) but I do like to take photographs of my "adopted" Westies (one belongs to my brother and one belongs to my sister). I've actually been asked to take some pictures of someones Labradoodle puppy this Saturday, which they have adopted for a year as part of the K9 partnership, who train dogs up to help disabled people, etc. They are trained to go to toilet on demand, take clothes out of the washing machine, do the washing up (okay I lied about that one :eusa-whistle: )

I produce calendars each year, which I sell to people and half the cost from each one sold is given to a charity that we collect for each Christmas at work, instead of sending each other christmas cards. This years Calendar will be Skye. I also do one each of the Westies for my brother and sister.

Jassy!

Home cinema huh.....I was on the Dolby mailing list when surround 1st arrived! They did a cool leaflet "heard any good movies recently?". That was in 1984.......I had a fab Panasonic Hifi VHS and a Yamaha Amp....and a really crap telly :(

I updated my system constantly when I could afford it, Last Amp was the Panasonic VSAX10.... A BEAST! Now I'm running

Onkyo TSxR875
B&W 603's all round
Panasonic 50" (Hope to be a 60 by Xmas!!!)

My lovely wife Elaine can work it all better than me.

I see my pics are cut off due to size I guess....my photobucket name is damnfoolman just like my name here if you'd like to be bored by more pictures

Take care

Very very close

Mine is a simple titanium E the mission is a steel beast and there are many differences except both have the 121.5 emergency transmitter made by Dassault.

I'm a Breitling collector so they are part of my soul.

yeah i was there at the birth of dolby surround as well i have had some great av sound systems even imported some av equipment from the states back in mid nineties like pioneer THX laserdisc players "the first film on disc to have "DOLBY DIGITAL" "Clear and Present Danger" and kenwood THX amps and kef THX speaker system............i think that was the main reason why the mrs well ex  divorced me

if your going 60" avoid plasma i am a "backlit led fan" "edge lit led tvs"dont have great blacks as they dont have local dimming, but there is a huge difference from viewing a 60" tv than a small 50"tv

stereo bits ....... *yawn yawn yawn* ... I get enough of that from the OH!!

I put my foot down to having speakers put up all over our new lounge when we built our new house - so he insisted one of the spare bedrooms was going to be his cinema to house his projector etc ... 20 months on and it's still in the box. We did get the house wired with HD and and all the rooms are wired up for roof speakers (my compromise) and a Sonos system, but they're still not bought either........ he's spending too much time surfing for Range Rovers or bits for the RS...... bloody men..... :eusa-whistle:

I did the wise thing, not even knowing it when I married my sweet Elaine

My beautiful wife likes technology. So big telly and big speakers are her happy friends!! She likes the 42" plasma on the wall in our sparse bedroom so she can watch the re-run of match of the day on Sunday morning as I cook her a nice brekkie.

What's not to rejoice in?

D

Oh and she hates shopping, I buy pretty much all her clothes. And no she does not go ton work looking like Worzel Gummidge....:)

Digital drum sets are a good way of getting rid of neighbour threats. But otherwise I just go for acoustic, it's much better IMO. Here, that's me playing with that same drumset but older cymbals/snare drum setup, enjoy
