Ways to enter destination on sat nav

As you can only enter the first digit of the end bit of a postcode, can you enter coordinates, or a house number?

If you enter the partial bit of the postcode you can then go to street input and click "list". This will list the streets allocated to the partial postcode you put in. Select the required street. You can then also input a house number. Hope that makes sense.
