Warning Symbol???

Hi everyone,

I'll apologies now if this has already been discussed before. I've gone through the owners manual and spent the last 30 mins on Google looking for an answer with no luck.

I've got a 1 month old RCZ HDi. Last night a warning symbol popped up in the centre window. It looks like a horizontal piston, the left hand side has tiny dots as if it's filled with fluid, the right hand side is plain.

Anyone seen this before?

Thanks

HI Funkiphone, welcome to the forum. The symbol you describe may be the one on page 29 in the handbook. This is the Particle Emissions Filter warning light. A lot has been said on the forum about this issue. :greetings-wavingblue:

Hi JRS, thanks for the info.

I saw a lot of discussions about that filter but when I searched on Google for the symbol it looked like an engine with large dots inside so dismissed it. They must have updated it for newer cars I guess.

Loving the car so far. The engine is way ahead of the equivalent VW 170BHP I had in my Scirocco in terms of pace and quietness.

Thanks again.

Hi Funkiphone, I have and love my HDi model which has covered 10k. I hope the Particle E Filter does not become a problem for you. It could have been just a blip as this happened to me when I first got my RCZ 12 months ago. :greetings-wavingblue:

Maybe you used some cheap supermarket fuel or something and it's just got a bit upset??? If it's performing ok, I'd wait, refill and see if the light goes out??
