Wanted: RCZ 200 GT up to £18,000

I'm looking for a 200 GT for my wife up to £12k for a Mk1 or up to £18k for the right Mk2

Must haves are Xenons and Nav but open to various colours. Ideally would like an Asphalt and would pay a bit more for the right car.

Thanks for the reply but as I mentioned before your car is too close to main dealer pricing without the main dealer benefits.

Good luck anyway.

Ok, I'm going to widen my search for the right car to say that I would also consider a mk2 RCZ upto around £15k but again it needs to have xenons and nav.

Cheers

Edited to say that the budget has been pushed to £18,000 for the right car.

I know, I've seen one too below the £20k mark but as it won't be my main car although I will use from time to time I can't really justify going for the R.......although it is food for thought :eusa-think:

The main reason I didn't go for an R was the price. My budget was a bit like yours, started @ 14k (ish) then went up & up & up, & then I found my Mk2 GT200 with just about every option fitted. 18k seemed like a bargain to me

My wife, however, although impressed with the Z, obviously thought the budget should have been a bit more rigid, hence the "I want quads" plea on my signature.

I have about as much chance of getting them as PUG admitting problems with the jacking points :eusa-think:

Now I have my GT200, I love all the gadgets, and I know it's not quite as quick as the R, and doesn't have the same Kudos, but it is mightily fast, and with all the extras not available on the R, for me it was the right choice.

I can fully understand anyone wanting an R though, and I'm not ruling one out as a future purchase, although I do think my other half might take some persuading there.

I think the ads are correct, it chooses you, and when you find the right one, you will know. Happy hunting

I understand that The R has xenons and nav as standard plus I thought it had the same kit as the GT, has it got something missing that the GT has as standard?

I'm not sure exactly what you don't get with the R that you do get with the GT200, mainly because my 200 seems to have had every conceivable extra fitted, (it belonged to a Peugeot UK exec for its first 9 months) so I'm not sure what I would have got with just a standard GT200.

I don't think the R has electric seats, so no heated seats either, and the electric mirrors don't do the reversing thing. It has rear parking aid, but not front (GT200 has both) & of course it has the fixed rear spoiler, not the "active" one fitted to the rest of the range. but I'm sure someone on here will have a "standard" R and be able to say exactly what they come with.

I suppose a quick look on Pug's website would confirm what you do & don't get with both variants.

Hi, I'm guessing its the one on ebay at the moment? if it is I'm afraid I would prefer a newer car and less miles.

Thanks anyway

Perhaps you might like to ponder the possibility that what you want is not available for the budget you have in the timeframe you're prepared to wait over.

Having done that, adjust expectations - if required.

The timeframe isn't a problem as she's already got a car so it's just a matter of waiting until the right car comes up. Problem is that not many people spec'd nav and xenons on the mk2 compared to the mk1. I spoke to the sales manager today from Leamington Peugeot who is on the lookout for me and he said that there were not many mk2's spec'd with both nav and xenons so I asked about the red carbon as all those I've seen have both so I suppose that widens my choice a bit but not sure they are all 200 petrels.

I asked the question to a Peugeot sales manager today about the R spec and he seemed to think that the R did have elec memory seats but may have changed during now, so not sure. I keep looking through Peugeots used car website but not really focused on the R so will have a look.

The Red Carbon edition was made across the range, so no, they aren't all 200's. They are also a limited edition, so not that easy to come by second hand. This also makes them that bit more expensive.

If you keep looking, you will find what you are after. I dropped on mine within a few months of looking, and I think from reading your requirements, my car is exactly what you are looking for, unfortunately, seeing as I only got it in August, it's not going anywhere unless I'm in it for the foreseeable :eusa-whistle:

I am sure the car you want will be out there, somewhere, but it might not be on the market just yet, and the longer you wait, the more Mk2's will drop into your budget, so the more chance one will have the nav pack & vision pack. Maybe even the black pack & bespoke leather interior, oh sorry that's mine again :D

Happy hunting
