Virosol

Do people still use Virosol to clean their alloys? I haven't bought any wheel cleaner for many years as had a large amount of Virosol but I'm almost out it and with the pending collection of the RCZ I want to sort something out. I know car detailing has probably advanced hugely in the last few years so wandered what is the preferred cleaner for alloys.

Which alloys are on the car 18ME?

On the Peugeot, I'm pretty sure that they are black solstice. Will know for sure tomorrow.

Cheers, I've just looked at this on Elite's site if its the Valet Pro that you mean. It does say use neat on heavily soiled and 1 : 5 on lightly soiled which seems a lot to me. I wander how this differs to virosol as both are non acidic.

I have the black Sols & I used Autoglym sealant on them. Seems to help when it comes to washing the dirt off. They still get just as dirty, but it comes off easier. :eusa-think:

Its been so long since I cleaned my car, I cant remember what I use to clean my wheels

One thing I do use on the whole car, not just the wheels is auto finesse fallout remover. It just makes it that little bit cleaner

Hi the best product I have used on wheels has been car plan's Wonder Wheels I know it came top in a couple of car Mag tests. I have used it for years on car and bike wheels with great results. It can be used safely on lacquered wheels.
Cuts through brake dust with ease.

I don't and have never possessed a wheel cleaner. May I suggest you put a coating on your alloys, like Gtechniq C5. It lasts around 18 months on my RCZ alloys. Only use power washer, shampoo and water and brushes to clean them up. Much kinder to your alloys and come up sparkling every time.

If you really need something to deep clean your alloys say every 6 months or so, I would recommend Car Chem Revolt. I've used it on alloys which have never been looked after and it's got incredible cleaning power and it's kind to your alloys.
