Hello,

My RCZ Asphalt has been in the car garage for 2 weeks now due to engine warning lights and the car starting to get sluggish. Originally the garage said it was the ECU and they had to send it off for repair. Apparently it's come back and there was nothing wrong it with so they investigated more. They're now saying it looks like the issue is with the "Variable Timing Valve" as the sealant has failed and filled up with oil. When they unplug it the engine lights all go away, when they plug it in again they all come back. They saying it's going to cost around £550 to get a new one.

Now I've no idea what a "Variable Timing Valve" is, but if anyone else has had to also have this replaced, is this is a reasonable price?

I've also attached the fault codes.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Poss its seal failures & full of dirt from oil contaminates which causes signal failures & limp mode issues the valves cost around around £50ish depending on make buy one & ask them to fit it but ask for Labour cost first ?
