Can someone please remind me. The second trip computer, which I never reset, used to stop calculating when it reached 6000 miles. Did that include the bottom figure - total miles covered? I thought that stopped too?

On Ruby, I've gone over 6000 miles on the second trip computer and it's still toting up the mileage so I was thinking that Peugeot have rectified this problem. I was going to reset it but noticed that the mileage covered was still going up, so now I'm doubting myself that this didn't use to happen on Pearl.

I'm not sure I'm afraid as I've never run it as high as 6000 miles without resetting it. Ruby's had a decent run already then?

She sure has! :)

Used everyday travelling to and from work and a round distance trip of 80 miles, 3 times, sometimes 4 times a week.

Computer 1, I reset every time I fuel up but computer 2 I don't reset (until it reaches 6000 miles but hopefully not anymore) as I like to see the average speed and mpg the car has done over that time.

Yep. Trip 2 on Pearl2 is stopped at just over the 6K mark. See no point in resetting it as it doesn't do what I would have wanted it for. So it's just a wasted gimmick. Hopefully as you say that have fixed it on the facelifted RCZ

Same here  , but mine shows 7000 something (km, that is) and is still counting.

Let's see what happens when I have the km-equivalent of 6000 miles.

Hmh... :eusa-think: one idea: maybe the internal counter can only count up to 4 digits, that would be 9999 km (after all, the RCZ is from a country with a proper metric system  ).

9999 km = 6213 miles. Is that the value you're seeing?

Well I can confirm that the second trip computer stopped working at 6213 miles.
It showed an average of 40.3mpg over the course of those miles.

I've reset the computer now so hopefully the next 6000 miles should show an improvement in mpg as the engine is starting to bed in now and the fuel economy is getting better and better all the time.

I've also noticed that the mpg on the first computer does not seem to calculate above 49.5mpg. (I've got the 156 THP)

Three times now, after a round journey, to the same location, the mpg has shown average as 49.5mpg.

Can anyone say if there is a reason why it doesn't calculate beyond this point? Or is it co-incidence (which I don't believe as there's differences in all journeys).

It's not like I'm taking it particularly steady either but it's a lovely road with a speed limit mainly of 50mph but with stretches of 60mph and a dual carriageway where I go mad ;)
