Evening All,

I’m looking at changing my spark plugs on my return home. Anyone advise on a torque wrench suitable for the job and what value the plugs need torquing too?

Spark plugs only need to be nipped up hand tight use a little light oil on the threads they go in easier I never use a torque wrench as you can easily overtighten & damage the threads or even snap them off then its towing to a local garage or costing around £600 to get them out at the dealers

I thought there was a torque factor to prevent you over tightening them.

Most of the online suppliers give a min and max torque setting for the spark plugs so it is anywhere in between. As Pedro say's they only need a little nip up to make sure there is a good seal.
