Before paying for anything, see if Peugeot will replace it for free as its a common fault.

If the dealership is not interested then try peugeot uk hq.
I did this when my dealership wouldn't put through a warranty claim, oddly enough they agreed and told the dealership to put a claim in.

I was contacted last year by Peugeot HQ at Coventry to be told my car was subject to a recall to have the temp sensor replaced and I believe one or two others on the forum experienced the same good service. Might be worth mentioning this when you contact them.
