I went to it last year, as well as one a few years back, it's very much a show of two halves. There's a motor show and the indoor arena performance, which is usually two shows a day. You get allocated to one show time or the other so you must turn up and start queuing in advance of the allotted show time shown on your ticket.
The arena performance consists of basically a large scale Top Gear show hosted by the 3 of them plus extra help from others (last year they had VBH & Tiffany Dell) doing their own sections. The Stig is there too of course. There's lots of car stunts (on an impressive scale) and the usual humour. All in all its a great show.
The rest of the time you spend wandering around a motor show. There's always something interesting but it's not on the scale of a full motor show, but that's fair enough as it's not meant to be. There's enough to see in addition to watching the arena performance which necessarily takes up quite a lot of the interior space.
For a car fan and Top Gear fan it's a great day out.
