The Call

So I get into bed last night and notice a missed call and a voicemail on my mobile phone. I listen to the voicemail and it's from my dealer telling me they took delivery of my new Z at the showroom yesterday

How sad am I that I spent most of the night awake too excited to sleep

I think i'm gonna have to go there at some point today to have my first glance at her. Then the hard part of waiting until 2 weeks Sunday (1st September) to collect her :(

I had no build date or nothing, just the call to say she was in. Very happy though :D

Great news! They seem to be pretty poor at communicating things like delivery dates etc, but always deliver!

Same here, no build date or delivery date. She just materialized from nowhere...

Now you have 2 weeks to build your detailing stock :D

I already have quite a stock in preparation lol. I've been following all things recommended by Kerry and ordering

I have the car booked in to a local professional detailers the day after I get her for a proper detail and protection :D

I do like the black arches with white - gorgeous

Thanks Kerry :D If you remember it was on your advice that I changed to them and I agree they look good. I still don't like the wheels though :eusa-think: I see a set of 19" coming in time when the funds allow.

Yes I know what you mean about the wheels. Not the most stunning design are they? Peugeot really should offer more designs for the 18 inch wheels :(

Finally arrived and a set of 19" will fill out the wheel arches. Does look cool with black arches.

I really don't know. There was no one doing anything to her when they took me through. Nice to see that the spoiler actually raises though. Yep I'm looking forward to getting her now. Still hate the wheels. Peugeot ain't interested in giving me anything back for the wheels if I went for a set of 19". Having said that, the Peugeot sales haven't been particularly helpful with anything. It's been a chore. And now they tell me it's going to be busy on the 1st September because of the new registration cars. So would I mind waiting until Monday 2nd September. :wtf:

Most cars look great with 18" wheels  l have them on my Focus ST3 they look great   and its the first time i have had 18" wheels on my car, only because they fill the wheel arches  and sadly 18" wheels don't on the rcz as the wheel arches are HUGE really they really are, just like my Honda civic type R 18"S LOOKED crap on them  because All civic's with 18" wheels barring the the type R had a black a plastic trim round the wheel arch to hide or to improve the size of the wheel aesthetics, much like the mini,so the the type R had them colour coded and 18"s where dwarfed by the the size of the wheel arch.

19"s are always on sale on ebay mate so keep a eye out for them, negative point 19" tyres cost a fortune for branded one's

Tell them No Ritchie. You want yours on the 1st too. Why should you have to wait?

I agree Kerry. I've waited 3 months and when I ordered the sales guy commented that it was his first 63 plate car that he had sold. So I should be first to get it. On another note, I remember reading a post by Ron saying about colour differences of the plastic bumpers to the metal surfaces on the Pearl white. The rear seems fine but the front bumper has a vast difference in shade compared to the bonnet. When asking about this I was told that it's because the white plastic film has only just been removed and when the car is waxed and cleaned it will all match up. Are they spinning me a yarn here? You will see what I mean on the photo below.

Pearl White cars arrive in three shades, FACT. I wouldn't believe anything that a car salesperson told me unless I knew it to be true before they said it. They don't tell lies they just make it up to cover their ignorance gap on product knowledge

So is that front bumper likely to stay that colour? Seriously it doesn't look half so bad in the photo that it does in person. It's way off. They have a pearl magnetic in the showroom and it shows nothing of the colour differences mine does.
