I thought i would just give an up-date on how the car went over the weekend and some of the many different things that happened, so here goes:
Total miles covered - 883
Average speed - 50 mph
Average fuel consumption - 42.1 mpg, it would have been better but I pushed it on the way back, but still very pleased
Overall the car handled very well, which did include a full boot which I'm sure contained the kitchen sink   it was lowered by about 20mm but still it handled the bends like it was on rails.
The cruise control was worth every penny making the whole driving experience very relaxed and enjoyable, some of the looks you got was amazing - loved every minute of it.
We got treated very well wherever we went, even the French passport control at Dover just waved us through and stopped everyone else, when we were being loaded onto the ferry, the guys positioned the car so no one could get near it then opened my door saying what a great car, what did it cost £35K to £40K - he nearly fell on the floor when I told him the actual price, then another guy said he was going to buy one now that he had seen one in the flesh.
As we were just about to get off the ferry another couple came over and said they had just order a GT in Charcoal which when they saw mine they said that it was the right colour for them and were well pleased
Did a tour around France - as you do, mainly visiting World War one sites, very interesting but also very sad, afterwhich we travelled up to Belgium into Brugge, again wherever you went people were always looking and pointing, slowing down and speeding up
Spent a day or so in Brugge, the car was parked underground so no one could mess around it which I was glad of, but while we were walking around a group of these turned up:
Yep that's right 4 Merc's, the ones that are made at the same place as the RCZ - common as muck     They were on the way to the F1 race, you can see similar lines between the two cars, especially around the back, to be honest I don't think the RCZ would have looked out of place with them, certainly from the reaction we had when we came back.
We decided to stop at Yepes before catching the ferry back, so we parked up in the central square, that was it, there were people taking photo's of it, asking all manner of questions, it appears the RCZ has been advertised in Belgium but there is no actual cars around so people were very keen to stop and chat and have a look - I should charge Peugeot for the PR I think

.
We did one final stop at a monument and as we were parking a guy starting taking photos of the car, his wife ran over saying what a beautiful car and now she had seen one she was going to order one, she was very excited - a bit worrying that people can get so worked up - but then again understandable - you've got to take your hat off to Peugeot they certainly seem to have got it right even in Belgium
So overall the car went extremely well, it did everything I need and then some, the reaction from people has been fantastic both here in the UK and during our short trip to Europe.
I hope this has given everyone a little taste of the benefits of owning a RCZ, I for one will never forget the experience and will always remember what good times that can be had with a car.
Just one last comment, during the whole 883 miles I did not see another RCZ.
