Taking A Car Back To The Dealers To Fix Rattles

Hello All,

Well I have had the RCZ a month now and a few things are starting to niggle me. Namely the rattles/creaks from inside the car. I have one that sounds like its coming from around the analogue clock and one from around the rear window. Its a bit annoying from a car that's only 1 month old.

My question is if I took it back to the dealer would they do anything about it?

I'm sure they would. Warranty should cover all inconveniences.

Often heard friends who work at dealers talk about the dreaded rattle test. They have to road test and try to work it out.
So yeah, I'd say without a doubt they will try to fix.

Not a great start then and yeah these little noise's are really annoying and difficult to locate exactly where they are originating and even more so difficult to get rid of :eusa-think:

Before you give it back: empty the complete(!) car (glove-box, door pockets, boot, spare wheel well, centre console...you get the idea) and try to reproduce the rattle.

I don't know HOW often I've found that something else is causing a rattle, no matter which car

Yeah I like it when the JBL makes the rear view mirror vibrate - that eliminates most other annoying nuances  :D

I dont keep anything in the car at all, so I know for a fact its the trim.

It looks like I will get it back to the dealership then.

The other sound I hear is like a knock and sometimes sloshing from the rear, Im not sure if its just diesel in the tank, anyone elses do this?

I get a rattle from the passenger seat belt locking clip, but only when the seat belt is clipped into it :eusa-think:
