Ok you lot, I need some help ! Yes I know you've heard that before and the men in white coats are coming soon !

But I was wondering about doing a little bit of painting on my RCZ.

Namely on the brakes, bell on front disc, back guard on both brakes and caliper at back.

Now that last bit the rear caliper, well it's got to be RED hasn't it, to stay in keeping with the front.

But what about the guard and bell, I was thinking RED but would this be all a bit too much RED??

And if you've been living on Mars for the last 4 months, here's a reminder of what it looks like now...

Just to shake things up a bit .... I'm ordering a new set of RimBlades in RED.

Cheers and any suggestions greatly accepted.....

I’ve done my guard and bell silver to keep it oem, at the rear. The calipers I’ve also kept black at the rear

Well thanks for input RCZ1, you've given me a couple of ideas.

Neil Yes I think red would be good for all

Cheers Neil.

Now I know I'm not good with colours and have changed my mind last minute, so this is in no way set in concrete and if someone else has some fancy ideas, I might adopt them !
But here is my first thoughts - Do the rear caliper RED to match the front. Now looking at the picture of my rear wheel, yes you can see the disc, but you can also see the SILVER guard and bell, so.... just to keep eyes focused on the important bit ( the red caliper ( once done )), paint the bell and the guard - BLACK. this might give the impression of a floating disc and more focus given to the wheel and caliper, remembering that the wheel will be circumfronted by the RED rimblades.

What d'ya reckon?

Now, my old metalwork master, about sixty years ago, told us about those sort of colours when hardening, or was it softening, metal things. :eusa-think:
P'raps drop the bits in a forge and dip in oil or water at the right moment for a kaleidoscope of colours to match the exterior.
I expect the callipers or other bits will just crumble on first use, but will look pretty up till then! :x
