unlikely you've done anything serious. If the jacking point is still vertical then it should be fine. You've likely just scratched the underside a bit. If you were seriously worried then either jack it up with a hydraulic jack on the frame or take it to a mechanics and ask them if they wouldn't mind putting it on their car lift so you can take a look yourself.

Good advice from xzibit I think. I seriously think you'll have done more than a bit of superficial scraping but you won't know for sure unless you jack her up.

I have nothing else to add other than we have all felt that feeling you described.

Should be fine though. Positive thoughts help, right?

The jacking point is obviously made to with stand the weight of the car, however it is also part of the floor pan and therefor if it take's a big knock it could in theory become twisted, but this would depened on speed and force of inpact.
Cars these days are designed to with stand side bumps as well as front or rear damage, but taking big impact from underside is a bit different.

Take a door pillar or screen pillar, even just a slight twist of knock out of shape could right a car off, simply because of their weight bearing and structual usage.
How the damage looks can sometimes mask the actual severity.

I would have the car checked out by a reputable body repair workshop, just for piece of mind. :eusa-think:

Many things could be affected, steering, tyre wear, vibrations, tracking,
Just get it looked at to be on the safe side.
