Stereo firmware to improve iPod use?

Does anyone know if it is possible to update the stereo sofetware to improve the functionality of the standard stereo when pluging in an IPod?

I find only being able to do random tracks within an album is pointless.

I just want to be able to get a random track from the entire music collection. The RDM function only does what ever artist I'm listening to.

You can if you go the menu, select audio settings, playback modes and activate track random play.

That's what I have done but it doesn't seem to random the whole collection. Just the same artist tracks. I maybe missing something, (even after 10 months). I'll take a look again!

If you have a specific album or artist selected then that is probably why you are getting the same songs. Make sure you have nothing selected before you start random track playing.
