Spare bulbs

Hi all

Taking the car on an overseas trip shortly, and want to carry some spare bulbs just in case.

Looking on the halfords website, I can't see any products listed - anyone know whether the RCZ just takes 308 bulbs, or have any other tips (I could pop into my dealer, but it's a bit of a pain just for bulbs as it's the wrong side of town  )

Peugeot list an emergency bulb kit for the RCZ under part no VAL280 it costs £10.21 from your local dealer.

Don't forget your Hi Viz vest, which needs to be inside your cab and not the boot, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, lense converter and triangle, in fact Peugeot did the lense converter, triangle and vest at a pretty good price, I got the others by shopping around.

Yes I was amazed, £8.50 for a triangle and vest which fit on the boot straps. Every where else the triangles were about £15!

Thanks for the tips - have all the other bits from my other car/detailing package. Don't have the lens converters, but we're off to Ireland so won't need those.

Quite fancy the idea of taking it to the alps skiing, but I doubt I'd get snow chains on the 19's, and I know I wouldn't get a pair of skis in the car (given we'd have our son in the back!!)

You might be able to switch your lights over yourself without sticking headlight converters on; the fog and reversing lights are aready set-up for Continental driving. Don't take you son :)

Even if I left skis (or son) at home, I can't believe I'd get snow chains for the 19s :(

Guess I'll have to stick with flying, or take the sensible car (an estate)

dont think about chains, use 'socks'. usually a kevlar reinforced sock with rubber grips on it. work well and cope with lack of clearence in wheel arches. minimise damage, should they come off, a chain would destroy arch, brake hoses etc. readily available on flee bay and other sites
