You have arranged a visit, or may be booking a holiday to Spain or just be curious.
For once this is not a WAFFLE, about Spain, although I could write a book, and a very large one at that, if I had the time and inclination.
This is more of an invitation, for anyone to tap into our knowledge, gained over the last twenty plus years.
Our daughter emigrated from the UK to study, teach and work, and live here in 1996; and before that we came for master-classes.
We visited her frequently, and because of her total integration and status, we were immersed in the context of real Spaniards and way of life from the beginning.
That was mostly in Andalucia, Mallorca, Madrid and Galicia.
Our subsequent retirement was a pre-planned move to Spain but not to a typical ex-pat nor holiday dominated area, or a major city environment.
So again we chose to be integrated as much as the locals would allow.
Daughter is now a successful businesswoman, married to a Spaniard, and part owner of a thriving international concern near Madrid.

Enough; this is starting to become a WAFFLE!

Any of you wishing to ask a question on any matter related to Spain whether out of general interest/curiosity or prior to a visit, ask away.
I will attempt, not to give advice, but simply share my knowledge and/or opinion which is freely available.

Our knowledge of Western Spain (Extremadura) and South West Spain (Western Andalucia) is extensive as we have properties there.
But our frequent visits to Mallorca, Madrid and Galicia, together with holidays in many other parts gives us a much wider view.
So we are both holidaymakers and residents.

Spain is very Spanish, if you want it to be!

PM for anything or put in forum if you think it of general interest.
