Are there torque figures or tables at all the gears, so that we understand the best moment to shift up, to mantain horsepower and torque?

In petrol ones, my frontal display shows me to shift up like this:

1,2,3 gears---> 2600, 2400,2200 rpm
4,5,6 gears--->all about 2100 to 2000 rpm

yes but thats like an eco mode, if you want to go all out, the numbers are really different for sure from my calculation id say near 5500rpm-6000rpm on all the gears but i dont know thatsa why i asked for it.

Oh, I really understood you quite late xD

Those few times I went to 5000-5600 rpm, the acceleration was quite linear (I know it isn't linear, but I come from a diesel that really died over 4000 rpm...) but dunno when is the best moment for your purpouse.

depends on if your coming into a corner or no :lol: no point shifting up if your gonna have to shift down in a few seconds.

Well as strange as this may sound, I never knew (nor did Mike-Marthamay) how to use a Turbo until this Thursday :oops:

Altho we have a twin Turbo in our Merc, it's an auto, but the RCZ being maual, is totally different. I had tried to persuade hubby to ask one of our sons, but he, like me did'nt really want to look a numpty, wot with us parents supposed to know everything :eusa-whistle:

I could'nt wait any more so confessed my ignorance to our eldest speed freak son, who talked me thru it as I took him out for a drive. WOW, WOW, WOW-it was totally amazing :eek: :shock: :thumbup: . Have'nt done it since as it frightened the life out of me!!! But wot a "buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

I will do it again, many times (wen I'm on my own), but I did notice the fuel gauge rapidly going down, so wont be doing it all the time!There's also the question of :law-policered:
