Service question

Hi all
Have my 2 year 30:000 mile service next week, the car has 12:00 miles on the clock' March 12 vehicle.1.6 petrol
Have been quoted £360 for the service, brake fluid, etc.
Is this the approx price? Seems a little steep!

Is everyone else paying roughly this amount for their first interval service.

Many thanks in advance for any guidance.

Jim

Hi, I'm afraid that's about normal. I, and probably a few others, will be interested to know if they really do include a brake fluid change within that price though.

Thats about right for dealers. My local mechanic will do mine for less than half that.

So long as they use genuine Peugeot parts and follow the proscribed service schedule you can use any garage you want and under uk law your warranty remains intact.

My dealership wanted almost £300 for my first service but I went to an independent for £160 all in. They even bought the parts from my dealership which gives you some idea of the over priced mark up that some Peugeot dealerships add on to their parts and labour charges.

One word of advice though, if you go to an independent. Make sure they're aware of how fragile the jacking points are and that extra care needs to be taken. You'll see various threads on the forum about them which you can point them to for reference.

Good advice :)

My mechanic has done all the work on my car I couldnt do myself, but if you use someone new, its always good to let them know about these things as they probably havent worked on one before.
