RT 6 Bluetooth multi point.

Apologies if this has been discussed earlier but I could not find it anywhere on the forum.
My question is, if it is possible to connect 2 phones via bluetooth to the RT6 in order to receive/make calls. Multi point. (Obviously not at the same time.)
This would be a really useful feature, which I have used on previous fairly cheap Parrot Bluetooth kits.

yes i think it is possible. the standard system can allow 4 devices to connect but the primary user i.e. no. 1 will always connect first if a second or subsequent device is present at the same time. I imagine that to connect a second device you'd need to do it manually by going into the menu and selecting the 2nd device in the system set-up menu.

Both mine and my wife's iPhone connect to my RT6. I just went through the connection sequence as shown in the manual, and they both connected fine.

Now the unit automatically connects when either of us are driving.

Many thanks, just to confirm, can they both be actively connected at the same time.

Andy.

I have to admit, I haven't really tried, but I know if we are both in the car together, when I drop her off at work, the screen reports peripheral disconnected - Diane's iPhone. So I always assumed both had been connected at the same time.

I would imagine it would be impossible to receive or make two calls at once, as the calls are routed through the speakers.

Hi, thanks for the tips, not looking to make 2 calls at once, just to have them both connected so as they are ready as with my old parott kit.
Bit more research and I shall let you know.

i seem to remember reading somewhere (i may be making this up though :eusa-think: ) that the phone registered first will always be the primary default phone if a second phone that is also registered is in the car at the same time. meaning that only the primary user can make or receive calls but by going into the menu you should be able to switch between different users... :eusa-think:

have you tried syncing the second phone to the car? it should store in the system as phone no. 2. then in the menu you can choice which phone to connect/disconnect.
