What is the fault code & are all the hoses connected properly sometimes this fault is triggered via a vacuum leak?
Usually if the rocker cover is the wrong size/shape it won't seal properly thus it will leak oil
The fan comes on when the ECU has detected Mechanical or Electrical faults so is the temp sensor working as it should as a fellow member recently fitted one & his unit was faulty
The MAF sensor could potentially throw up a fault as it meters the Air into the Engine is the connector fitted properly& are all the jubilee clips in correct positions?

There is a YouTube video about problems with some aftermarket Rocker covers where the PCV doesn’t vent properly but with a small modification can work perfectly.

I don’t have a rocket fitted to mine. I bet that gives pretty good acceleration 😱
