"risk of ice"

I have the Sat Nav option. So on the pop up display, I am familiar with the external temp flashing at lower temperatures 1,2,3 degrees etc, But tonight for the first time ever I had "risk of ice" pop up on the centre display whilst the Sat Nav display was merrily flashing 3 degrees. What's that all about? Didn't even get this warning in snowy conditions :sleeping-yellow:

Fairly normal then. Surprised not to have noticed it before today as I had an RCZ all through the last winter.

Maybe you were too busy trying to navigate through all the snow and not slide into a ditch to notice the Warning Display.

The giant exclaimation mark grabs my instant attention everytime - makes my heart jump, until the Risk of Ice message then appears. Useful message though and certainly makes me think twice about the conditions outside - moreso when my rear (not my back though ;) ) is toasting away on the heated seat

My 207 used to beep everytime, just to make my heart leap sometimes! Thankfully the RCZ is a bit more subtle about it!

But have you noticed how when it's really cold i.e. -5 or something (my 207 used to beep) when it rose to -3! Stupid Pug! Like I didn't already realise it was brass monkeys........

Its because black ice can form at this temp and below. I have had Peugeots for ages and this has been a feature on all of them. I think its valuable in this age of heated seats climate control etc.
