"Ridiculous Dipstick" - Sorted!

Today I decided to take action, fed up with guessing my oil level!

After:


I added a small piece of heat shrink tubing to the end of the stick - much easier to see the oil level!

Hope it's resistant to the chemicals present in the oil...

Maybe you'd be better off only putting it on when checking the level, wouldn't advise leaving the sleeve on full time as it could drop into engine and cause future problems.

Good idea though :)

Oooh not something i would do tbh, that oil is going to get upto 100-110 deg C, you will just have bits of debris floating around your engine :(
