Just got my letter from Peugeot UK telling me about the software update recall. I was wondering if any of you girls and boys out there have had this done ?
Did have the most wierd phone conversation with the dealer.

Me:- "Hello, would like to book my car in for the recall I have had a letter about from Peugeot"
Dealer:- "ok" "what is wrong with your car ?"
Me:- " Nothing, it just needs the recall work done"
Dealer:- "ok" "we will look at it when its here and let you know what needs to be done"
Me:- " I just told you, NOTHING, just the recall"
Dealer :- "oh yes it will not need service till July 13"...........
Slight pause in conversation (think he was waiting for me to say service it while it was there)
Me:- "Thats right, it can wait till JULY for the service"
Dealer :- "ok got your car up on the system now......... what did you say was wrong with it ?"

:helpme:

Dear god, please find me a person on the other end of a phone that listens to what they are being told and is not trying to sell something all the freking time. Many thanks, Paul.

Well Paul that sounds like a familiar conversation to the ones I frequently have with my dealership. Incidentally, I am still awaiting any contact regarding this software update...from anyone.

 and they sell themselves as an "RCZ specialist". I was horrified by how little they knew about the RCZ...something I have pointed out to them in the past.

"RCZ specialist" probably means that they have sold lots to those well off oil workers up there and nothing to do with the quality of their service or knowledge.

I also had an interesting conversation with them about the sat nav update and the car it's self update, I couldn't get through to them that they are two different updates. I gave up in the end, head in hands again,

Of course they are different!! Software update will not update the mapping! I would avoid that shower, whoever they may be with a proverbial barge pole  I am so fortunate to have a fantastic dealership looking after Pearl2

So far they have been 1st class, the customer care computer center they use, needs to catch up a bit, but the dealer its self is good. I have used them a few times now and every time is just like it should be.
Note to detailers here, they will wash and clean your car, so if you do not want that don't not forget to tell them, but they do not make too bad a job of it, just saying.

Thanks very much Paul, that's a great post. I feel happier taking amber there for a service when needed :)
