According to my dealer you need to fill up your RCZ with high octane fuel only and apparently that comes from Peugeot

I do out of choice but if this is true, then it is a well kept secret! I always use BP Ultimate Diesel so I'm covered either way

The fuel or the advice? :) (couldn't resist)

A quick this and that on google and I clicked on the first article

Seems that the biggest factor is listening to the car yourself.

The other question, what does the manual say? (prospective owner so I have yet to have in my possession)

My RCZ HATES cheap diesel .... it runs best on BP Ultimate. I'll only use cheap stuff if I was going on a long run and likely to use it all quickly ... couldn't bear to put up with if for a fortnight.......

I have been told (not sure if this is entirely true or not) that your car 'learns' what fuel goes in, so start as you mean to go on ... I did start off with the fancy stuff (bugger!).......

With EU rules, all cars have to be able to run on lower quality fuel (octane 95) as other countries' petrol isnt as good as british stuff  . The manual will advise you to use the best octane rating possible

hate to tell you this but that is a US site and in america you have to be a muppet not to use high octane because there high octane is our low octane. (meaning there low octane is shockingly bad)

and a friend of mine in america who does engineering told me that higher octane fuels are better regardless. Because the higher octane fuels have less impurities meaning less impurities will clog up the engine which in the long run will help keep that nice peugeot engine running nicer for longer. thats saying though in the UK such impurities are much less than those in america thanks to it being a higher octane but still as the saying goes 'every little helps'

its worth while using the funky jungle juice now and again as it does give the insides a good ol' clean.

i used the funky demon derv jungle juice when i had a diesel  it was £1.10 a litre 3 and a half year ago.I used it on my Type R few times but you do have to really empty the tank almost of all the regular stuff first for any benefit if any :eusa-think:

Regular petrol is fine for the RCZ, add some redex when you fill up, It really does keep your engine sweet, I have been using it for over 40 years in 30 diff cars, never had an engine problem.
