The infamous "Furrari 599" wrapped in velvet out in the rain in London! I litterally feel sorry for that car :(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2Ea2iSE ... r_embedded

The video shows how the velvet Ferrari 599 GTB looks when it’s left outside in the rain – almost a daily event in London where the car has been spotted a few times. Leaving aside the fact that the bonnet looks like a football pitch lacking drainage, I can’t help but wonder what the owner must do to dry the car when the rain stops.

A hairdryer may appear as the obvious solution, but imagine how long it would take to dry the generously proportioned 599. Then what does one have to do to arrange the velvet once it is dry? Comb it?

The smell may be another factor to take into account, as the wet velvet must give the 599 a specific odor – probably similar to what a drizzling dog smells like. And let's not think about the possible colonies of microorganisms that may settle on the 599's cozy bodywork... I’m sure the owner hasn’t taken all these factors into account – if he had, he probably would have given it a second thought.

I would like to think that any car wrapped in velvet would be sprayed with some sort of treatment to prevent it from holding water.
