Hi does the RZC come with daylight driving lights.
I'm just about to order an RCZ and was informed that 2011 models would need to be fitted with daylight driving lights as this is now law for ALL new cars, yet i saw a 2011 RCZ today and it didnt have such lights ? I havent managed to see another 2011 make car on the road yet to see if that has these lights.

There is an option where you can enable them to be on or off, I set mine to on.

Sounds like you could be getting the running lights that are on the facelifted 308, coming out soon.

So are these daytime lights simular to the Audi or Citreon DS (led) and are they a standard feature on all models regardless of optional packs, as i'm under the impression that these lights are now law (2011)

I'm off to the dealers this weekend to put the order in, but i keep changeing my mind on the colour, first it was shark grey but now it's white, not sure which white though, i want the brightest, crispest white, if that makes sense.
I also want the interior sports pack but will make sure it includes the modified exhaust, as i'm going for the 156bhp and not the 200bhp.

Then again if i tickle the bank managers bum i may end up with the 200bhp.

De daytime running lights on the RCZ are integrated in the headlamps. The way it should be. Not the butuggly ledstrips from odi or other brands.

On the RCZ the DTRL's are the fittings closest to the middle of the car. They function as DTRL and parkinglights.

There is no modified exhaust pack. Sport pack includes sound system, smaller wheel and such...

No sorry your wrong, the "internal sports pack" includes, the sports steering wheel, lowered sports gear shift and a tuned sports exhaust, however and this is the grey area, the tuned exhaust is not mentioned in the spec details, it is a standard feature on the 200bhp as are the other two items (steering wheel & gear shift).
If you purchase the 156bhp car then you have to add the "sports pack" as an option, it will only show as "sports steering wheel & gear shift" but it also include's the tuned exhaust.
I have now had this confirmed by my local dealer who contacted Peugot uk for confirmation.

The sound pack is a different pack option again.

The 2011 model may well have the daytime running lights like the new 308 see link below and they should be standard. (the current ones were).

So they won't be stuck on the outside, like aftermarket types, they will be properly integrated.

hi jactac,

RCZ's have drls as standard already, they are not LED they use a normal bulb inside the headlight cluster. Peugeot have made no announcement that the 308 hatchback/sw/cc facelift will be applied to the RCZ, the 308 has been out since 2007 and is well into its product life cycle, the RCZ has been out for 10 months.

What you are calling the tuned exhaust and what bokepacha is calling the sound system are the same thing...the exhaust system is the same in the car but if you order the sport pack you get an additional part fitted under the bonnet called a sound system/sound box that artificially changes the tone of the exhaust heard inside the car by the occupants.

Are you in the UK? If so when you get a price from your local dealer let me know as I may be able to save you some money

Hi RCZGT2000,
Thankyou again for clearing things up, the guy at my dealership kept calling it a "tuned" exhaust, but to throw me off again he said there was an option sound system, he obviously ment cd/radio system.

Regarding the DRLS, i was just curious if the Rzc had this feature and if it did was it simular to the Audi or Citreon.

I certainly will be in touch once they give me an exact price, thankyou.
I'm parting exing my son's Corsa SXI as part of the deal and he is then going to have my 2008 Astra SRI, it makes more sense to do it this way as the Astra is absolute mint (11000miles 1 owner) and it will last him a good few years, yet the part ex offer on it was not a great deal more than what they offered for his Corsa .
I have been looking around on the net but it seems as soon as one is available it is snatched up. I would consider nearly new if it was the model & colour i wanted, it would have to be a pretty little thing.
Thanks again for the offer and advice.

How to activate the day time running lights.
Turn on ignition, press the menu button which is on the dash board by the cd player.
Look at the LCD display panel on the dash board
By pressing the direction arrows on the dash board by the cd play scroll along to personal settings. Clik ok
Then scroll to define vehicle peramiters. Click ok
Then scroll down to lights & click ok.
Scroll down to day time running & click ok. Then exit the menu. Remember the day time running lights will only work when the headlights are off. As soon as you turn on the head lights 1 element in the bulb will go out & the other element will turn on. This element is not so bright & becomes the side light.
