I think you need to post some photos on here so that people can see the car for themselves. You may get more interest that way.

Not a problem. I think your asking price is fair to be honest but there are a number listed on Autotrader that are frighteningly cheap(er). Makes me very sad to think what I'll be offered when the time comes!!

I think the price is fair. They are ranging between 13500 and 17000 for gt200s that year.

You could always look on parkers and it will give you a private sale price, a trade in price and what dealers are likely to sell it for.

Depreciation on new/fairly new cars is the biggest running expense of all and that's not peculiar to the RCZ. If you look at what other cars cost new against what they're worth now you will see that whilst some are a bit better or worse than others the differences are not huge, especially after having taken standard equipment and discounts into account. Buy a decent car, whatever marque, and you WILL lose lots of dosh.....

I imagine that dealerships are keen to get old stock shifted ahead of the new registrations. I saved around 3K by buying mine (new) a month ahead of the new registrations.

This is, of course, true. Doesn't make it any less of a bitter pill to swallow though!! I believe that, after 3 years, 60% is the average amount that you can expect your vehicle to have depreciated by (unless you own a 4x4 which are renowned for holding their value).

That's why I'm 'crying or very sad'!

Perhaps we can form a support group for owners who are going to lose their RCZs for far less than they should be allowed to go for...

We must not forget that dealerships are businesses and not charities. They have huge overheads to pay before they make an actual profit. Also do you know that it was sold for £13,000 or was it offered for sale at that amount?
