Question on music folder structure

I've put all my music on a USB stick, but they are in lots of folders. There doesn't seem to be any way to randomise ALL the tracks, just those within a folder. Is this right? In which case I'll have to go through all the folders and transfer them in to one huge folder.

Google for Mediamonkey. This is the best free mp3-oranizer!
First you need to tag all your files correct (easily done in Mediamonkey).
Then you have unlimited options to organize and rename your files according the infos in the mp3-tags. For example : You can put all your files in one huge folder and name the files like <artist> - <album> - <song#> - <title>.mp3
