Peeling Alloys!

Good morning RCZ'ers,

I have a 64 Red Carbon (Nero Black) Edition and I am having some trouble with my alloys. They are a diamond cut version (black). They are flaking all the time and I think it's the lacquer coming off that is supposed to protect the alloys. No major sign of curbing or damage, just the paint/top coat seal peeling off. :wtf:

Not only am I concerned with alloy protection, it's aesthetically unpleasant.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Many thanks,
David Batista

If the laquer was applied to the wheels from new, your car is still under warranty so take it back to your nearest Pug dealer and tell them to sort it out.

This subject has been covered on this forum previously. There have been several cases of alloys de laminating and returned to the dealers for replacement. I will have a look and see if I can find a thread so you have a bit of ammunition in case it's needed.

Another one for you viewtopic.php?f=28&t=5994

I think you definitely have reason to expect some help at least with repair/replacement. There has certainly been known issues in respect to this problem that have previously been acknowledged by Peugeot/dealers which you can point out if needs be.
