Paint protection film for sills.

I've just purchased some "VINYL CAR PAINT PROTECTION FILM ANTI SCRATCH & ANTI SCUFF" from Ebay, it's also available on the net.

I'm thinking of putting a narrow strip on the inner door sills, just to protect the paint work and the "Peugeot" strip from scuffs and scratch's when getting in & out from shoes ect..
The sills on th RCZ are rather big to climb over and i think in time they will take a battering, My Astra took some paint damage on the sills and no matter how well i polished the scratch's out they were always visible when the doors were open,

The film i purchased is 6 inch wide so it can be cut down, the photo show's 4 inch but there are various sizes available. I paid £15 for a 3 mtr length, more than enough to cover the tops of the sills.

In fact i think the 4 inch would be better as there is not a need to trim it down.

Has anyone used this before ?

Perhaps you could be a saint and measure up a template for others to cut around to get the perfect shape for the Sills? i think i will add some to mine in the very near future.

is it any good on extrnal panels?

Its simple to cut and if you buy 4 inch it's only a case of cutting to length, it can also be used on external panels but i was more concerned about the wide sills whilst getting in and out of the car.
