Oil pump failure I think.

Hi all
So dropped the RCZ for its MOT this morning and waited for the call to collect it. FAILED, had to stop the test as the Oil pressure light and stop sign came on, and the engine started rattling.
Any ideas please, presume oil pump failure.
This is on top of the car sliding down the drive on the ice the other week hitting the house, new drivers door needed.
With all this in mind I may just sell to the best offer as it is.
Your thoughts please folks.

Presume it had full oil level before the test? Pump will make the engine rattle as the pressure drops off or any major leak & high mileage with poor services is another pointer one of the biggest issues is running on low oil levels which destroys the internals

Thanks Pedro, Yes the oil level was fine, I am very conscious of that. The fate will be decided tomorrow when I get a quote for the repair.
