No Good Deed.....

Typical :brickwall:

Trying to be helpful as I'm off today by ironing the Duvet / etc.

Somehow :eusa-whistle: the Iron flung itself off the ironing board - doesn't heat up now and leaks water from the base plate :eusa-think:

I'll have to dash out and buy an exact replacement.
Can women tell if it's a new Iron or is it like a Hamster / Budgie - they all look the same ;)

They say No Good Deed Goes Unpunished - gonna cost me at least 50 notes  for a stupid iron

Gorwell, I did the exact same thing with mine only the other week.

Women can tell the difference in irons. Not only the looks, shape but more importantly, the weight. Some irons are quite heavy so I always try to go for something lighter to reduce wrist / arm ache. Something to bear in mind :eusa-think:

Now that would be a very good idea - if it wasn't so close to Christmas.
Made such a mistake MANY years ago by buying a Hoover (that she was going on about for ages. Thought it was exactly what she wanted, never had such a clearer Christmas Gift Hint) - wow, was I out in the Boxing Day Sales to buy a "proper present"

And I thought it was just my inexperience with the unwieldly thing
(Would never have thought about the different weights of an Iron - you'd think they'd all be the same)
What you say is exactly right though - I've never known someone "bang on" so much about how much she loves this Iron :wtf:
Eh, it's an Iron :eusa-think:  :wtf: :helpme:

Anyway, got an exact replacement - even the colour
The exact same Iron is now £65 quid instead of £50. Nice

Stuffed the old iron and the new box at the bottom of the external bin.
Think I've got away with that ;)

Moral of this story: Leave Ironing to the Professionals - It's too dangerous for Amateurs
