Hi all just put a deposit down on a 2013 facelift 13 plate HDI GT in white ( thats the only colour the wife would have )..its done 61000 miles FSH @ Peugeot dealers and comes with a 12 month Vauxhaul backed warranty.

Picking it up on monday, i havent seen it yet but have left a £250 deposit as its a 300 mile round trip.

Is there anything i should be looking out for when i go to pick it up?

Cheers

:greetings-wavingblue: Welcome :text-welcomewave:

The MkII RCZ is a fine beast with only a few known issues, just about all of which would be covered by your warranty anyway.

Check the jacking points, they are made of cheese & fold the sill under at first use. Seriously, they can be a bit pricey to get re welded, so have a look at them. Check for any stored error messages on the display (don’t know if your has the flip up sat nav) or the orange mound, but you can check there.
Listen for anything that doesn’t sound right when ticking over, & give it a bit of loud pedal when test driving it & see if it’s all smooth. Look for excessive fan overrun when you turn it off after a run.

You will be fine with the MkII they don’t suffer from as many issues as the mkI’s did, and the warranty will be a nice back up anyway.

Most importantly, just check in the mirror and be amazed at the size of your smile knowing you have one of the best looking cars on the road.

& get some photos on here as soon as you can

Cheers folks, no the one im getting for the misses doesnt have sat-nav... i found one with less miles and less money that had sat-nav but the wife doesnt like the colour... really it has to be white.

The 1st thing i will do is wrap the roof bars in matt black or gloss black if i decide to do the wing mirrors to.

Then possible a remap, to around 200bhp?

With it been white it should hide some body marks, but i will be giving it a full paint decontamination and polish next weekend.

I did her trade in car today and it took 4.5hrs.

How do you access the fault code screen on the orange mould screen please???

Thanks

Good question. I don’t know :eusa-think: mine has the Nav pack so I have only had experience with the flip up screen.

I expect someone on here has a non nav MkII Z that will be able to help you with that.

As for the arches, I know a few on here have gone down the wrapping route, so if you have any questions about that someone should be able to help, or maybe even a search will reveal answers.

Re-mapping. The 156 has been remapped by a few on here too, one member in Greece “only AEK” has a 156 with 268bhp, so a few messages to him might point you in the right direction, but I suspect a bit more than remapping has gone on there.

Good luck & looking forward to seeing your results.

Press the Menu button on the stereo and scroll across to Diagnostics.

thats correct

i have also changed the intercooler, the exhaust and the turbo

with a remap only, you will probably get about 190ps, not 200 but still a big difference

Cheers all for the replys, picked the Rcz up yesterday.

Managed 67mpg!! On the run back up the M6, theres a few jobs to sort.

1.drivers bolster has some leather wear so looking @ re-dying it, is the leather just standard black???

2.Attack the silver roof arches with some compound cleaner, should clean them up until i get them wrapped gloss black.

3.treat the hole car to a bodywork decontamination, its in pretty good condition as it is but gunna do ot whilst the weathers ok.

4.treat and seal the leather.

5.Try to mend the passenger jack point which has bent over, i have read a few threads about jacking points and how to lift the RCZs, so should be interesting!!!

6.remove all the alloys and zinc silver spray the wheel hubs, and paint the calipers gloss black.

Not much then..

If the jacking points have folded once, they'll probably do it again.
I just ignored mine, and used a trolley jack and some wood to jack up further under the floor.

For the seat bolster you could buy a standard black bolster dabber, or do what I did.
Send a rear headrest to someone for them to custom mix you one.
I used LTT in Harrogate.
