Hi Guys, I am a RCZ owner now for 18 months in Australia my car has about 14k kms on it, so far its been pretty good, I have 3 issues with it that I have had trouble with warranty fixing.
1. Temperature Gauge - I get a warning message when the car is still cold ( driven about 1 KM) to stop engine - the temperature gauge flies over to maximum high and then drops back down again as quick as it goes up - I have been told by Trivett that this is just an air bubble and a common issue.
2. Faulty Seat Plate - Drivers side, this becomes loose it was replaced 3000 KM ago and has started to become loose again, you can feel the drivers seat move when you change gears.
3. Faulty Headlamp - I get a warning at night when my automatic lights come on that the headlight adjustment is not working again this has been dismissed by Trivett as trivial

I rang them today and said these issues were not good enough and I wanted them fixed will be interested to see what they do next week when I take it there.

Other than that I love my RCZ, goes well, great on fuel and is a head turner.......

In my car did exactly the same and they tell me that is a common fault in the THP200 and is the sensor temp in the reservoir. They change that in my car and fixed the problem.

I had the temp gauge issue in my 308, at first they changed the 'fairly obvious' sensor in the coolant, however it didn't sort the problem, which instead turned out to be a fault in the aircon housing which also apparently has a temp sensor which will trigger the same alarm.

Not sure how a dealer can dismiss any fault, I'd ask for their refusal to repair in writing and get in touch with Peugeot.

RCZ 1.6 200HP Temperature sensor problem

Hi,

I'm a newbie here. I have the RCZ (1.6 200HP) and have had exactly the same faults occur with temperature warnings. Yesterday my temperature on the gauged rocketed then dropped back down to normal as demonstrated on Youtube. All service dealers are closed until monday!

Can someone tell me whether it is still safe to drive for the weekend since it is JUST the sensor that is faulty? Thanks again, and sorry if question is a little naive!

Several of us have bad the problem. I don't want to give false advice, but generally you may be ok to keep driving if you verify the engine isn't overheating and you have enough coolant.

It's a little nerve wracking, but so long as you verify the cars temp then you can continue to drive.

But please don't quote me :)
