Hiya guys, I was quoted pricing below to replace the timing chain on my car (156 GT mk II). Seems many on here have paid around £600 for a full kit, even from a Peugeot dealer. I live near Newcastle upon Tyne, are there any recommended garages I can go to to get the work done?

Any advice would be most appriciated!

Independent specialists from either Citroen or Peugeot or BMW Mini, can do the timing chain.
As they use the 1.6 petrol prince engine in some of their vehicles!!
Have heard, but cannot confirm, BMW parts are cheaper,

A mate of mine who works for a Mazda main dealer says Citroen parts are always the cheapest, so that’s where they order from when working on either pug or bmw.

the Peugeot dealer I use is Peter Ambrose in castleford West Yorkshire they did my timing chain replacement, they’ve been Peugeot dealers for many years and highly respected by Peugeot UK.
