Hi All,
like so many on here I have been wanting an RCZ ever since I first saw one. Shortly I'll be able to realise that dream and wave goodbye to the reliable but dull 308 sport I have just now. I've dome plenty of web trawling and research and I'm all set on a diesel GT as I've plenty of good experience with Peugeot diesel lumps before.
So here's my question to you forum experts out there.
I could buy a new one, I could buy a used one. Heart says new , head (and wife who is an accountant ) says used.
My real quandary is that I can see several late model pre face lifts for sale with moderate miles and lots of kit on them and they look to be good value at something like 10k less than the 26k or so I'll have to part with for a new diesel GT.
What I really want to know is what's the difference between the pre face lift and the current version 10. Is it just basically cosmetics at the front or is it deeper than that? To make it worse I quite like the look of the pre face lift anyway.
Look forward to any advice / thoughts from you all
Thanks in advance
Mark

I have a pre face lift diesel and as far As I know the only difference is cosmetic. The engine is exactly the same and still bullet proof!! If you do buy a used one with low miles and full service it will still be a good buy in my opinion and you could potentially get a better spec too! Good luck with it!!

Other than the front end, the other differences are the door cards have a stitched pattern on them where as the pre facelift doesnt. The plastic around the gear knob is gloss black, the pre facelift is unpainted grey/black. The facelift GT has the smaller steering wheel as standard, the pre facelift is an optional extra.
Im sure there are a few other little bits but nothing majorly different :)

Look on eBay or Autotrader. They have new models with hardly any mileage which are way cheaper than ordering a new car. You make a good saving that way and don't take as much of a hit as buying brand new.

What Abzynthe said is correct with regards to differences between Mk 1 and Mk 2. You can't go wrong with either model.

Thanks for the help I think the Autotrader route looks favourite based on recent searches. I figure if I keep the missus thinking I might buy new she won't bat an eyelid when I come in at sub 20k for a nearly new.

Essentially self levelling directional xenon bulbs. Windows are extra.

Nope, the windows were an option. I think they were standard on the GT from 2013 on, but until then..........
