good luck with the sale

Sadly, the Blackline is slightly outwith our means!!! The did have a new one ready to go out at the dealer, maybe that's the one you saw in Stoney, it was diamond white.

We whittled it down to three colour choices .... Tenurite (sp) grey - and although it suits the Merc, I'm against grey on principle .... just like ready salted crisps IMO :eusa-whistle: , red - but decided that it would look hideous on the drive next to my roosty orange , so it was down to white ... so "Mr Whippy" pearlescent Diamond white it was. Salesman almost ended himself when I commented it looked like old underwear. Does look nice in sun though.

RS not being traded in, got pretty much insulting valuation so that's why we're going to try and sell private. Push comes to shove, there's a place in Bristol that deals exclusively in the sale of RSs and we got a decent offer from them, so we'll drive it down there if we have to.

The price of petrol and the addition the of new focus ST will drive down the price your car sadly, but its a peach of a drivers car the amg coupe and grey is a no,no as there use to be one around my neck of the woods but i havnt seen it for a while

Think we'll wish he had kept the RS when we see the way the C63 goes through fuel..... :eusa-think:
Ach well, you need to spend your cash on something!

That's exciting...but surely you'll be so sorry to see the RS go...?! ;)

I love your observation about the colour looking like old underpants. You'd have had me in bits. I wonder if he'll use it in his sales pitch? :eusa-think:

So, will you get a shotty of the OH's new purchase? Have you forgiven him for cancelling the Evoque? I actually think this is a much better choice...well...until winter strikes what...next week here? As for the cost, I'm with you. Life is too short and point leaving it to the tax man!! I hope he's (and you) are happy with it!

.....I assume Jen has(comfy) underwear that colour lurking about in the bottom of a drawer then
As for driving the AMG .... he will insist on buggerin' off offshore for two weeks at a time ... we can't have spiders making home in the exhaust can we.....
But I won't be taking it out in wet, frost and snow .... so roll on April then ..... :eusa-think: :eusa-think:

The AMG is much more 'him' than the Evoque. I knew that when he test drove it, hammering it round single roads round Lairhillock. Sitting in the back seat, I could tell by the creases in the corners of his eyes he was smiling A LOT....and the deal he's gone for means that he'll be looking to trade in the same time as I am .... he says he'll buy me the Evoque then and buy himself a Porsche next .....he's full of ideas..... I'm only having an Evoque if it's lime

Oh yup there are a few pairs of "comfy pants" lurking ominously in the bottom of a drawer alright!! They even survived the BIG summer clear out! Wtf?! However, my gardening/house t shirts were ruthlessly disposed. This hardly seems fair!!

I think you'll be doing him a favour making sure that it doesn't seize up in his absence. He'll probably thank you for it...probably! I think it's much more of a driver's car than the Evoque and, from what I've learned about him, much more his kinda car!

Well, sounds like he's been making all the right noises to keep you sweet. I hope you hold him to his word and look forward to seeing an Evoque that isn't Black/Grey/Silver or occasionally red or blue. I also love that he is ALREADY eyeing up his next car. Sounds an awful lot like my kinda man...in a purely heterosexual manner.

Its always exciting getting a new car:). Even if it's only to give it it's first full detail ;). Sad I know lol

I agree with you on the analogy of grey cars and ready salted crisps - just what is the point of either of them ! ;)

I hope you are going to post some pics when you get it ?
As you say, there's no point saving all your money, you can't take it with you can you.

Eyeing up the Porsche Boxter that had about £4K of options .... that our RCZs have AS STANDARD, how mental is that!

Whereas I was eyeing up the 3L supercharged Cayenne ... ok so it was Hybrid but we can debadge it  ...... lot more metal for the same price

C63 = LETHAL WEAPON .....but i do think your better half ;) will seriously tier of this car 1. cant be modified NA engine no need to too much power in the first place.

2.wait till he comes across a black edition on the road.......... or even better a black series with even more bhp.......... :eusa-whistle: :eusa-whistle:

3.he will need to keep it for a good while as residual are worse than the RS.

4.SHOULD HAVE GOT A RS5 INSTEAD FAR BETTER BUILT,BETTER LOOKING,BETTER ENGINEERED, AND RARER,BETTER RESIDUALS,MORE ECONOMIC,LESS ROAD TAX,CHEAPER ON TYRES,ITS a 4 WHEEL DRIVE beastie.............Aberdeen

Steve's got the whole tuning thing out of his system with the RS, it's cost him too much money that he won't recover, he spent about £10K tuning it up to 475bhp. We'll never get anything like that back. But he's learned his lesson....and had fun along the way.

There is a diamond white 'blackline' local, but as Steve admitted "even I can't afford that ....yet"

Reckon he'll keep it 2-3 years tops. Think HIS idea is to trade them both in in a couple of years, buy me the sensible 4x4 and him a two-seater (probably a Porsche) but he changes his mind like the seasons...... wonder if I went with the Cayenne S we'd get a decent deal??? :eusa-think: mmmm 3L supercharged, hybrid.....

as for your 4th comment Jass .... how BORING are you being??????    I've got my diesel with wintergrips for the winter weather!!

Audi A and S5s really aren't that rare at all in Aberdeen. I see at least a dozen EVERY day. This doesn't make me want one any less though. Such nice cars!
