Magnetic black ordered

Well what do you know, had a call today saying the car is now in stock and will be delivered next week! Already feeling bad for the Qashqai, feel like a bit of a traitor to it, always happens when we change cars though. The other half has still not forgiven me for the demise of our Shogun Sport back in 2007.

Will post pics when it shows up. Any advice on run in period folks?

The suggested time for breaking in the engine is around 1000 miles but as long as your sensible and don't rag it you'll be ok to give it the odd blast...in fact I'd suggest it every now and then. Good for the soul!

I asked my dealer about that and said they didn't really have break in periods anymore! And believe me you won't be able to resist putting your foot down, especially round corners...

It's true that modern engines are built with greater tolerances these days but I think that was poor advice. My brother in law just took delivery of his new S5 Black Edition and Audi specify a break in period of 800-1000 miles. I'd agree with that for any new car.
